I would classify myself as a heavy coffee drinker, but not a pretentious one. I don’t go to Starbucks very often, but when I do, my order is straightforward; a medium cup of black coffee to which I add a little cream and sugar and I’m good to go. I work from home mostly, so I make coffee at least twice throughout the day for myself. Over the years, the evolution of the coffee makers I have purchased got bigger and more complex. I liked coffee makers that would grind the beans for me, measure the right amount of water to add, and even give me digital options to how refined the grind was. However, that all changed after having my first cup of coffee from a French Press.

Best French Press Coffee MakerI remember it well, my wife and I took the kids to visit friends who lived out of town for the weekend. The first morning I woke up I was greeted with a nice cup of coffee, but I never saw it being brewed. I assumed it was some fancy new expensive coffee maker as the coffee was vibrant with flavor. At the time, I was currently looking for a new coffee maker after my $349 Breville maker had broke, so I was very curious to learn about what had made this great cup of joe. When I discovered the coffee was made from a French Press, I was amazed. I was in disbelief that something so simple could whip together such a great cup of coffee.

When we returned home a few days later, I went out to pick up my own French Press with the intention of it being a temporary replacement until I could find the next best thing as far as pro-style coffee makers go. But, it’s been over six months now, and I’m still using a French Press. I love the taste and my wife, and I love how much extra counter space we have in our kitchen now.

However, I should point out that I have tested out a few different French Press maker models. In fact, I met this guy working for a local department store that seemed to be a coffee fanatic. He was Barista that worked at this local hipster coffee shop part-time and also worked at the department store where I was shopping to buy the best french press coffee maker I could get my hands on. He was the perfect person to bounce questions off.

I was interested in learning that despite the fact that a French Press coffee maker was such a simple tool for brewing coffee, it has a few different versions. Some are cheaper than others while some seem to charge more for a more professional but don’t, in fact, brew better coffee.

The following are the six Best French Press Coffee Maker Models on the Market.

Delsey Helium Aero Review: Surprisingly Spacious

This article is a review of a specific Delsey Luggage suitcase, a company we have covered in the past. This particular model, the Delsey Helium Aero 29 has been very popular as of late, so we decided to feature it in its own review article.

Delsey Helium Aero Review

The trend in luggage seems to be hardsided luggage these days. While most people will admit hardside suitcases can appear cold and lack visual appeal, Delsey has put a twist on the design that a lot of people seem to like.

Liane Corbin wrote an article on Delsey Luggage earlier in the year that a lot of readers seemed to enjoy. In that piece, Liane talks about some of the best tips to keep in mind while targeting a suitcase set to buy. Aside from obvious protection, which of course is the number one priority when it comes to your valuables, surprisingly it’s the wheels and handles that are equally as important when purchasing a high-quality suitcase for finding value. The handle and wheels are the first things on your suitcase that could break, so investing in luggage with quality features is a great first step to get the most shelf life out of your purchase.

Delsey has made a conscious decision to create luggage with high-quality elements, even if the customer isn’t fully aware that they need them as much as they do.

The Delsey Helium Aero 29 is lightweight and durable. It is made of 100% Polycarbonate, which is a material that is extremely resilient to cracking or breaking, with a deep metallic finish. Polycarbonate is a soft material that flexes with the goal to absorb impact when thrown or dropped. This material is also present in contact lenses. It’s difficult to scratch polycarbonate easily, which makes it a perfect material for hardside suitcases.

As I already mentioned, the design of Delsey’s suitcases not only has curve appeal but come in made options and colors to choose from. There are over 9 different color and size options to choose from, all have small design differences, but an overall branded look by Delsey.

Travel Tips: How to Decide On Where to Go Traveling

How to Decide On Where to Travel?

Deciding where to go traveling can be a difficult and overwhelming process. With so many amazing destinations to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. In this article, we will discuss some tips for deciding on where to go traveling.

First, consider your interests and preferences. What are you interested in seeing and experiencing on your trip? Do you want to explore a vibrant city, relax on a beautiful beach, or hike through stunning landscapes? Knowing what you want to do on your trip can help narrow down your options and make the decision-making process easier.

Next, think about your budget. How much money do you have to spend on your trip? Are you looking for a budget-friendly destination, or are you willing to splurge on a more expensive destination? Knowing how much money you have to spend can help you choose a destination that fits within your budget.

Another factor to consider is the time of year you want to travel. Different destinations have different weather patterns and peak seasons, so it’s important to choose a destination that will be enjoyable during the time of year you plan to travel. For example, if you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy more pleasant weather, you might want to avoid popular destinations during peak tourist season.

Finally, consider the length of your trip. How much time do you have to travel? Do you want to take a long trip and explore a destination in depth, or are you looking for a shorter trip that allows you to see and do as much as possible in a shorter amount of time? Knowing how much time you have to travel can help you choose a destination that fits within your time constraints.

Dciding where to go traveling can be a difficult and overwhelming process. But by considering your interests and preferences, your budget, the time of year, and the length of your trip, you can narrow down your options and choose a destination that is perfect for you.

As one who makes traveling a priority, people often ask me how I decide where my next trip will be. Well, that is a loaded question! Answering it includes many factors. Among them: how much time do I have? What’s my budget? Are there currently good deals on a place I’m interested in? These and many more questions invade my mind when choosing where I’ll go next.

With the advent of social media, the world seems to have shrunk dramatically, but I assure you, it still has quite a bit of surface area to cover! If you have limited time to see the world, it pays to make your choices wisely. Destination fads come and go.

The current hot destination seems to be Iceland, and everyone is flocking there. But are YOU really interested in going to Iceland? If not, don’t bother just because your cool friend at the office went.

What I Look for in a Destination

What are your interests? Hobbies? Are you a history buff? Go to Washington D.C., Rome, or Petra to name a few. Are you a shopaholic? New York, Paris, and London are perfect for that. For the outdoor lover, the options are pretty much endless. Chances are you’ll find a place to go pretty easily if you do any daily news reading and have a healthy curiosity about the world.

As for myself, I love the outdoors – activities such as hiking, camping, spending time in the mountains and along the water. Where I live in the Pacific Northwest is great for that. So when I have limited time, I’ll steal away for the weekend to somewhere within 300 miles, which makes it easy to plan a quick trip. But when I want to branch out, I like to research my next destination based on the activity I’m interested in.

Pinterest is a great starting point for my travel planning. In recent months, travel bloggers and the industry, in general, have exploded on Pinterest, with tons of great ideas to get the adventure juices flowing. From there I can access a wide range of resources that will further help me in planning my next trip. I’ve found that simply Googling an interest or destination casts too wide of a net and I have to sift through a lot of unnecessary web hits.

What to Wear on Safari: Best Things to Pack For Your Trip to Africa

What to Wear on Safari

What to Wear on Safari

During a recent trip to Cape Town, South Africa, I was surprised at how many other tourists I encountered who had gone on safari. Most traveled in by plane from Kruger National Park, but others traveled from much further away. Every safari location has its own unique story to tell, and yet all have an underlying similarity: to witness big game in their natural habitat. Nowhere in the world but Africa can you have this experience.

What to Wear on Safari

While lunching in a café along Cape Town’s waterfront, we met a couple from Australia who had just flown in from their safari at Kruger National Park. The woman looked flush with a tired happiness, and the gentleman had a melancholy look in his eyes.
